We need to have a tentative count of how many are planning on
attending.
Activities that are planned:
Tour of Lucas Oil Stadium which is the home of the Indianapolis Colts;
Baseball game on Saturday;
Tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway;
NCAA Headquarters Hall of Fame;
American Legion National Headquarters;
and various walking tours of the monuments in the downtown area.
Speakers: We have Bob Miller was a Worden sailor and re-commissioned her after her
first major AAW upgrade in the early '70s. After Bob retired from active
duty he established himself at Crane and headed the direct fleet support
role in the Miniature/Microminiature Electronics Repair program at Crane.
In this capacity he also had direct contact with the Worden during her final
pre-deployment preps for the Gulf War and what would become her final
deployment before decommissioning. Bob recently retired from civil service at Crane and is now a support contractor.
We need to have a $40 dues payment so we can arrange for transportation

Currently we have approximately $1000.00 in the account. For us to be able to have keynote speaker(s), extra curricular activities, transportation to get to those activities, registration, and, the meeting / hospitality room, we need you to send Dennis $50.00. Some have given ?seed money? to be used toward these reunions, mail outs and phone calls to invite members that we don?t have addresses or email addresses for. I know in these economic times, money might be tight, but, if you can, please send your check to Dennis Royer 39 EAST WALNUT ST. EPHRATA,PA. 17522-2238 and in the memo section write ?WORDEN REUNION?. I?m trying to get a fix on bulk mail, but again that takes money.
