A group of your former shipmates including Plank-Owner Captain George
Sullivan are planning a Paul F. Foster Reunion In Ventura Ca. Thursday
September 17th-Sunday September 20th. For those of you that are not
aware, the Foster is decommissioned but, not dead. She is being used as
a test platform ship at Naval Base Point Hueneme(just a 15 minute drive
from downtown Ventura). Several large crates are currently being store
at Naval Base Point Hueneme containing the Officers Ward Room China and
Linens from the Foster. We plan on raffling off these items at a steel
beach picnic on the Foster to be held on Friday September 18th. We also
plan on a drink mixer, a Crew Dinner and a Sun. Brunch,
It is pertinent that you all help us and forward any contact info you
have for former shipmates to this e-mail address

booked
at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Ventura at a discount rate but, they will
go fast and they are limited because we are competing for hotel and
restaurant space with other events such as weddings so, please book now.
Once you book your room please send us an e-mail confirming your
attendance so we can fill you in on the other details. An event Fee To
Be determined will be charged to help cover incidentals for these events
and guarantee your spot. We anticipate this to be under $100 dollars
but, the price depends on the attendence we get so call your buddys and
get them onboard. This event is not being orginized to make a profit
but, purely to bring together friends and family. It is guaranteed to be
a great event and a good time for all. Please book now to help us out in
the logistics part of the reunion(IE the more time we have the better
the venues we will use) If any of you are willing to help plan and
contact people please send me an e-mail to the above address. I am
including a link to the website for the event. It is not completely
finished but, you can book your rooms through it and it will be updated
in the very near future. Once you book you room please notify us of your
attendance and the amount of people joining you. Thanks again for you
