A TowerRat was a soldier, usually Military Police, assigned to provide security over nuclear or chemical weapons, generally at remote and often primitive sites oveseas during the Cold War.
The soldiers in these units performed their unique, often boring, and generally unappreciated mission flawlessly. In the 50 year history of the TowerRat mission, not a single "item" under their control was lost orcompromised.
