Presidential Retirement Certificates

A Retirement Certificate is available for personnel retiring with 20 or more years of military service and can be ordered through their Command Career Counselor. Presidential Certificates are no longer mailed from NPC with Fleet Reserve/Retirement Packages. The DD 2542 form is not available electronically, to obtain a hard copy of current forms not available in electronic format, please contact your own Military Service or DoD Component Forms Management Officer. Presidential Retirement Letters

For a servicemember retiring with 30 years of active-duty service, Navy Personnel Command Millington, Tennessee automatically submits a request for a letter from the President. For more information refer to NAVADMIN 231/06.

Presidential Certificate of Appreciation

To receive a certificate of appreciation from a former U.S. President, use the contact information below. Requests should include, at a minimum, full name and rank of retiree, date of retirement, address, name and phone number of contact person. Other information may be required.
