Enlistment Incentives
The first reward you may receive for enlisting is a payment called an enlistment
bonus. These bonuses may vary from service to service and change each month.
The Armed Forces offer enlistment incentives, the most common being enlistment or signing bonuses. These bonuses may range from $2,000 to $40,000. The amount of these bonuses varies greatly from service to service based on the needs of the service, your education level, ASVAB score, and chosen career specialty. Be aware that they are subject to change monthly without notice.
In addition to enlistment bonuses, you may qualify for student loan repayment, delayed entry bonuses, or college funds. The Army, Navy and Marine Corps College funds can boost the value of the GI Bill to over $70,000.
