Winston Churchill!

Winston Churchill was one of Britain's greatest political leaders. He served as a military officer and journalist before entering politics. After World War I, Churchill was appointed secretary for the colonies where he worked toward the establishment of new Arab states, toward a Jewish homeland in the Middle East, and toward an Irish free state. He greatest triumph occurred when he became Prime Minister in 1940 and guided the nation to victory in World War II.
Winston Churchill was an idealist who believed in his cause, as during World War II against the Nazis. After France fell to Germany, Churchill declared, "You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: Victory — victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror; victory, however long and hard the road may be." Churchill believed in military power. Not trusting Germany's intentions before World War I, Churchill increased Britain's naval power. His work was so successful that Germany's navy was easily defeated.
