Shipmates Found!
Your search enabled me to find and talk with my shipmates from the USS Calvert APA-32. I had no contact with these guys for 50+ years. It's great to find them and now we are planning a reunion for next year. Just want to say thanks.

House and Senate
The House and Senate again failed to deliver on its promise to all veterans by not voting in the Pay Restoration Act. The bills they present say that they are for this act, but their no vote says otherwise. All veterans should check their rep's voting record to see if they support this bill. Join with other veterans and vote as a large block against those who don't vote for us. We protected them when it was war. VOTE for this bill NOW.

Defining Torture
Everett Alvarez's analysis and recommendations make sense. I hope SECDEF Rumsfeld will read this valuable and straightforward message (to higher authority) to provide America's men and women in uniform with new parameters and boundaries based on the eminency of the current or immediate threat but consistent with American values. Well done Everett Alvarez! I view your intellect, your message, your own personal sacrifices, and your overall character and leadership with great respect. You are a great American.
