More Army Launches Wounded Warrior, Family Hotline Army officials launched a new hotline to help wounded warriors and their family members to get information or assistance with medical or other issues. Michael Moseley launched a new website to tell Airmen what is of special interest to him. More Coast Guard Investigates Lost Files Since Social Security numbers and other personal information were in the files, mariners affected by this loss have been advised to monitor financial accounts for suspicious activity and review their credit reports. More Army C5 Course to be Requirement The Captains' Career Common Core Course will become required for graduation from all branch Captain's Career Courses beginning June 1. The instruction is in a Web-based interactive multimedia format that facilitates self-paced study. More Jeopardy Seeking Pacific Contestants Stars and Stripes reports that United Service Organizations (USO) and Armed Forces Entertainment will host a Jeopardy Tour at bases in the Pacific March 28-April 1. More Legislation Would Increase Business Loans The "Veterans Small Business Opportunity Act of 2007" would increase the amount of loans available to eligible small businesses when an essential employee is called-up to active duty. More Dependent Education Assistance Update Effective December 23, 2006, eligibility for the Spouse and Dependent Education Assistance program (DEA) was been expanded to include spouses and children of servicemembers hospitalized or receiving outpatient care. More New 2007 Targeted Raises Go Into Effect Mid-range and senior military servicemembers will see an increase in their pay this April. For selected mid-grade enlisted and warrant officer pay grades the raise will come in the form of a targeted pay raise of up to 8.3 percent.
