Air Force Names Combat Controller, Special Tactics Officer Award Winners
7/14/2006 - WASHINGTON (AFPN) -- The winners of the Air Force's 2005 annual awards for combat controller and special tactics officer were announced today.
The award winners are:
Special Tactics Field Grade Officer of the Year: Maj. Michael Martin, 24th Special Tactics Squadron, Pope Air Force Base, N.C.
Special Tactics Company Grade Officer of the Year: Capt. James Alexander, 21st STS, Pope AFB.
Combat Controller Senior NCO of the Year: Master Sgt. Douglas Fenske, 21st STS, Pope AFB.
Combat Controller NCO of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Bradley Reilly, 23rd STS, Hurlburt Field, Fla.
Combat Controller Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Fred Baker, 21st STS, Pope AFB.
The awards will be presented at the annual combat control reunion Nov. 10 at Hurlburt Field.
