 Tribute:
My dad joined the Navy in 1956 when he was a junior in high school. He was an Aircraft Machinist on the Midway. He was aboard 1959-1960 when it deployed in the Western Pacific. He trained at the Naval Training Center in San Diego. He was in company 346. He has 4 children and 2 grandchildren. He was an extremely outgoing and social person who made friends everywhere he went. He was sober for almost 26 years. He was a newspaper carrier for the Press Democrat for 14 years. A member of Mt. Olive Luthern Church. He resided in Santa Rosa until March 15, 2008. That was the day he had a heart attack. He passed away at home. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
