My Granddaddy took me to a small glass table one day in the lower half of his home, saying in a low strong tone, which he always had, come here I want to show you something that I have, he showed me a small knife, it was worn, it just looked like any old dirty knife, he opened the blade and asked me if I see the stain that was on the blade, I answered him in a small child like voice that I have always given my Grandfather(for he was a feared man by his children and we knew to show respect) he went on to tell me the story behind that special piece of worn metal that lay in his glass case of ribbons, and metals that he had received over the years, that"knife" you see, had been there for a long time with a string tied to the end saying, that this once belonged to a Nazi that was going to kill my Grandfather, he goes on telling me a story about him being in the upstairs of an old abandoned house "watching" that day in particular out the window, when he caught a glimpse
