I had only been back from Korea nine months when the flag went up. Since I was part of PAC, I as was told to help them get ready. Of course they also really helped me a lot. I knew Sgt Johnson from Korea. He was a great NCO and a friend. When we got there we immediately movedt to the desert.Then we waited for three months until January until everything was in place. One night all hell broke loose as planes and missiles starting flying over us. This lasted for about 45 days. When I came back I had physical so I was retired. But I remember Sgt Johnson, Spc Griggs, and host of others who helped me. I love them. I don't want to forget Cpt Risch and Col Colley.
