Cecil Powell joined the marines in the 60's around the time of the Vietnam conflict. He was an AMTRAC amphibious vehichle driver. He served four years during the conflict and did not speak much of his encounters. Cecil was also my father and a very wonderful man. Anything for anybody was the way he lived always giving when he didnt have much to give. In 1994 he died of Lung Cancer due to his time served in Vietnam, at this time I was eight years old. He left behind a wife and family that will forever cherish his memory. I am currently looking for old service buddies that may have served with him.
