Earle  Schroyer  (Earle)

 Rank,  Service

E-7 Sergeant First Class/Spec. 8, Army

 Veteran of:

World War-II

 Tribute:
Dad joined the PA National Guard in 1934. I found a newspaper clip that said Sgt Earle Schroyer was with the 954th Ordnance Depot Company attached to the Nineth Army in Germany. He had been overseas since July 1943 and had served fourteen months in Iceland and later transferred to the European theatre where he served in France, Holland and Germany and was stationed in England for a short time. During the Battle of the Buldge Dad was within three miles of the front lines at the last American Outpost. They turned back the drivers to Liedge Belguim where he was stationed. According to the article Dad was sick in April of (1945?) and was confined to a hostpital near Berlin.
