My grandfather, 1st Class Petty Officer Eugene "Gene" Hathaway is my hero and inspiration. He taught me how to build confidence and self-restraint. He is the reason why I am joining the NJROTC next year and hopefully, I will reach his rank as a Petty Officer 1st Class in the United States Navy.
