E-8 First SGT/Master SGT/Spec. 8, Army

 Veteran of:

World War-II

 Tribute:
This is for my Grandfather. He served with the 503rd MP Batt. in Leghorn, Italy from 1945-1946. Back then, he was a Pfc., but after his time in service, he worked his way up to 1st Sgt. by the time he was discharged in the late 1950's. They offered him 2nd Lt. to stay in, but he, well come on, it's a butter bar. He aslo had basic jump wings, glider wings, and an expert infantry badge. He served with the support company, 504th PIR, 82nd Airborne; 1092 Combat Engineer Battalion (West Virgina National Guard); "C" Company, 503rd MP Battalion. There will be more here when I get some more time. I don't have a scanner, but eventually I'll put some pics up.
