Walter S. Hoffman  (Sam-Huffy)

 Rank,  Service

OTHERS, Army

 Veteran of:

World War-II

 Tribute:
My father was a Military Policeman of The Ruptured Ducks in WWII. He was a very kind, shy, young man when he was drafted in the Army to protect his country...Our Freedom!! He left behind a young wife and baby son to fight for our freedom overseas not knowing if he would ever see his family again in this life. Even though I wasn't born till years after the war..I have always felt proud of my dad and his pride in our Country. He never talked about his time in the war much. I guess he had to many bad (sad ) memories that he didn't want to recall. My father passed away 02/18/1993 and that's when for the first time I saw ribbons and medals he had been honored with. I didn't need to know about these honors to be proud of My Father...He was and is-My Hero-My Dad... He was never one for attention or needed to be praised...He's what you call a true Hero...My Dad!! My uncles-- George E. Madden -- John I. Barr -- Clair E.Barr -- Howard H. Barr -- Max Boozer -- ...More
