| Tribute: |
He was born in 1926 TX and died in 1998 LA. He enlisted when the war broke out at such a young age that his mother had to sign permission. My father told me that his duty was the landing craft and getting the marines to the shores in the pacific theater. He had three shot from beneath him during his career. He was stationed in Leyte in the Phillipines around 1944 and 1945. I will be putting pictures up soon that he took while stationed at Leyte. I hope you will keep checking back. He was from Eldorado, Arkansas born to Jack and Maggie Phillips. The family misses him very much now and we are so very proud of him and all you guys, man and woman out there that sacrificed to keep our freedom.
Thank you to my dad and all of you out there protecting us. A special thank you to my Uncle Ed who was in the Army in the Euro Theater. His name was John Edgar Hall and there is no one who knew better than my father and Uncle Ed about the hardships suffered by our enlisted. My Uncle J.B
