World War-II

 Tribute:
306th Bombardment Group/367th Bombardment Squadron - "Combined Operations" left Thurleigh, Bedford, England on April 14, 1945 heading towards Belfast, Ireland on a R&R trip to drop off some passengers and pick up some whiskey. The B-17 carrying 11 people, crashed into the southern tip of the Isle of Man, killing the entire crew. My Grandfather was the navigator aboard and died only 2 months before my mother was born. I am trying to find out all the information I can on the crash, the relatives of the desceased and my Grandfather so that a fitting memorial may be placed at the crash site. ** CREW ** 1st Lt.
