31st MP Detachment, Germany:
The 31st MP Detachment/385th MP Battalion and CID MP Reunion had their Reunion during 30 May to 2 June 2008 in Louisville, KY. LTC (MPC,ret) Tom Briggs, former CDR/PM of the 31st MP Detachment, Stuttgart, Germany from 1970 TO 73, hosted the event and 81 attended and had a great time in Louisville. The Reunion included a tour to Ft Knox and lunch at the consolidated dinning hall, a MP SWT and K-9 demonstration. Then back to Louisville and that evening dinner on the paddlewheel "Jeffersonville" during a tour of the Ohio River. Sunday included a tour of the Church Hill Downs Museum and then on to Millionaires Row for lunch and an afternoon at the Races. Lots of discussion about their assignments in Germany and the MP Corps. Monday was check out at the Hospitality Room and then it occurred to everyone - The Reunion was over.. Hope to see everyone at the next gathering.
