  • Alpha 72 : A few of us from A. Co. 16th Sig, are getting together out in Las Vegas.. just happens we are all going to be there on unrelated separate business, but if anyone's going to be in the area, give me a hollar. We were Alpha 72 SEN team. from 1994-1997.. And no offense to anyone from back in those days, but we were the BEST of the best on post. record time full site setup and operation in 27 minutes. from site pull on to established connections. SEN van SHF van, antennas, phones, cables, the works.. 27 minutes.. ;) Of course all the gear you guys have today you can probably accomplish this quicker, but back then, we were legend.... :)

  • All Former Members of the 82nd Signal Battalion: All former members of the 82nd Signal Battalion, The tempo here in the 82nd has not slowed down any since the battalion was deactivated. There never seems to be a ?good time? to put together a reunion, so now is the time. We visited the Airborne and Special Operations Museum last summer and noticed that there was nothing symbolizing ?the? Signal Battalion and we thought that we should do something about that!! We?re looking to raise the funds to put a unit memorial to represent the 82nd Signal Battalion. It will be strictly donations that make it possible. ... Read More We know that people are busy but if at all possible next summer, 16-17 July 2010, we?d like you to mark your calendar and join us as we come together for a reunion. It will be a two day event starting on Friday with an Ice Breaker. On Saturday we will have the ceremony down at the museum and then follow that with a Bar-B-Que. The paver will be our way of continuing on our lineage and pride of the unit. The Ice Breaker and Bar-B-Que will be an informal way of bringing old paratroopers back together to reminisce and tell old lies and war stories. The number of responses we receive and funds available will determine the size of the memorial and locations of the Ice Breaker and Bar-B-Que. We have created a Yahoo account to start tracking suggestions and RSVPs?..as this grows and more information is gathered I will push out to all and start collecting donations. SGM Cromartie and 1SG Buffaloe, who are currently deployed to OEF X, are looking for a few people to assist in putting this all together. CSM (Ret) Thompson is assisting from Fort Bragg but if anyone else is interested please let us know!! We would be happy to have some assistance. The email is: cmdrsvoice@yahoo.com. I know there are tons of people I will miss with this initial email but please forward to all your fellow paratroopers. Help us get the word out to as many as possible. ......... 82nd Sig Bn Facebook Group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=50018437481 .......
