(Page 2 of 3 Pages): During realignment of MP units in USAREUR, Company C, 709th MP BN was relocated and headquartered in Rose Barracks, Bad Krueznach, with the 2nd Platoon in Baumholder and 3rd Platoon, Company C, 709th MP BN located at Dragooner Kaserne, Mainz. LTC Oscar J. Weible was BN Commander during 1963 to 65 and was replaced by Major/LTC Sam A. Lewis during 1965. Also, during July 1965, the 709th departed Mannheim, and relocated back to Gutleut Kaserne,Frankfurt, and then to Offenbach to Bieberer Strass Kaserne. Company C, 709th MP BN relocated to Hanau. The 3rd Plt, Company C, 709th MP BN at Dragooner Kaserne, Mainz was redesignated as the 3rd Platoon, 537th MP Company, Dragooner Kaserne, Mainz.
