When I was assigned to the 857th SPS at Minot. The Squadron Commander Gary D. Lee, Major, USAF would give everyone a card congratulating them on their promotions. The front displayed the SP shield and the back the photo shown. Inside it had the SP creed up top and below it stated the following; Dear AMN ect: It's my pleasure to inform you of your selection for promotion to the grade of Airman First Class, effective date given.
