I was in the 1st class of recondo at Fort Campbell, Kentuckey, 1958. Maj Mallett was the school commandant. At that time I was just a corpal. Been trying to find Recondo patch, finally did. The cadery were form Special forces. |

I gradualted this course in Nov. 1965. At that time the course was "82nd Airborne Division Raider Course. It had a white arrowhead with "AA" in blue on a red circle. |

The 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C. ran a Recondo School for quite some time. This variation of the Recondo patch shows that influence. The school was later restructured under the 18th Airborne Corps. The patch design changed to reflect the new administration. [+1 pictures ] |
