Correction to posted history. I must have been sleeping during my first tour to Fliegerhorst Memmingerberg. I was assigned as the second Medic. The first had been reassigned to Ramstein in 1967. The Det was then Det 28, 7232 Mun Maint Gp. It open for business in 1966. In 1968 it was redesignated Det 1 , 26 Tac Recon Wg. When reassigned for my second tour in 1975, it was then 7261 MunSS.
