Hi Ed Paxton:I was on 2 lCU 916 change to YFU 61 and YFU57.Brought the 916 boat over from the states.We hauled up the perfume and cauvet river almost every day.Date were oct 65 to oct 66.Any one that was there at the time or were on any of the boats would like to hear from you.

HI JERRY LOPORTO HERE. WAS A BOATSWAIN MATE IN NAVY ROAD PATROL, YFU,S, HARBOR PATROL. NSA SECURITY I WAS THERE FOR FEW YEARS. ON THE RIVERS YFU AND PICKET BOAT. NAVY ROAD PATROL AND AFP, SECURITY. ANY BUDDIES OR SHIPMATES OUT THERE. ANY OF U GUYS STILL LEFT DROP ME A LINE.
i was on the yfu-12 that was hit by rockets on the purfume river. this happened during the tet offensive of 68. our boat was carrying 100 tons of ammo for the marines at hue city. we almost made it but....
