I was the Admin Officer in the White Elephant, working for CDR Al Hayes. My tour was 1 July 68 - 1 July 69. I retired after 34 years Naval Service as an LDO CDR in 1985.

I was at Camp Carter East and Main from Aril 16 1969 to April 17, 1970. Remember the rocket attack on the heli pad during the Movie "Longest Day?" Or the rocket attack that knocked some of us out of our bunks? It was the only time I remember heading for shelter at the Camp.
Served in the Communications Center 1968. Then sent to YFU
