I went to A School in Great Lakes "EMa". I had orders to the BIG E. My first duty station i didnt know what to expect. The ship was in the yards. I had a wife, and kid, traveling to Newport News Va. We had our apartment already waiting so that was cool. We took the train because and E-2 couldnt afford the plane. We arrive at the train station, and the we knew the address to the apartment, we caught a cab. The apartment was nice. We moved in, then i checked on board, the yards was lovely. I bought a car off of little creek rd. Yeah we got robbed but the car didnt break down so we was happy. price wise we got robbed, but i managed to pay it off. Now 1 cruise later and disabled, i am divorced, but i am happy, its 12 yrs later, rose to rank of E-5. well take care.
