The 382nd MP BN is being re-activated as an Army Reserve component. The activation ceremony will be November 19, 2005 at Ft Devens, MA. The mission will be to provide battalion level support to all of the MP Companies in the 94th RRC (Devens, MA) to include the 344th MP Co, 94th MP Co and 401st Chemical Co. The unit was re-activated at the end of 2004 and began filling slots at that time. The unit at this time has approximately 25 soldiers assigned. The HHD will be authorized 71 personnel. The Battalion Commander is LTC Jennifer Curry backed by CSM Brian Benvie. The 382nd MP BN will be deploying/mobilizing in the summer of 2006 to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and will be assigned to the 16th MP Brigade.
