BLAZONRY
Shield: Argent, a cross gules, over all a saltire azure, that portion of the
saltire upon the cross fimbricated of the field; on a chief of the second a fleur-de-lis of the first.
Description: The shield is white, the old facing of the infantry. The red cross
is for the Revolutionary War service and the blue saltire for Civil War service. The fleur-de-lis on the red chief, the present color for Artillery, represents service as Artillery in France during the World War.
