I WAS ASSIGNED TO C BTRY, 80TH ARTY AT SCHWABACH AND TDY TO HQ BTRY, NUREMBURG FROM SEP 60 - MAR 61. ALL BTRY CLERKS OBSERVED A LIVE FIRE AT SOME POINT AND I AM TRYING TO DETERMINE THE DATES OF ALL LIVE FIRE EXERCISES DURING THAT TIME PERIOD. |

Was assigned to HQ Btry, 3/39th (280MM)at Merrell BKS Nurnberg Ger from Aug 63 until Jan 64 when the 39th was deactivated and became the 3/17FA (8-IN), one of the Gun's we had was the very Gun that fired the first & only Nucular artillery round, that gun is in the Ft. Sill museum now |
