I served in the 1st Armored Division under Lt. Colonel Michael L. Mc Gee, Batallion Commander for 6th Batallion 6th Infantry, also known as the "Fighting Regulars". Charlie Company 6th Batallion 6th Infantry served under 2nd Brigade Command structure during these operations Desert Shield & Desert Storm. Specifically, I served in Charlie Company 6th Batallion 6th Infantry out of Bamberg Germany during Desert Shield & Desert Storm. I was a Sergeant in third platoon of that company. Contrayer to what was reported in the "20 May, Saving a Life", about the member of Charlie Company 6/6 Infantry is incorrect. I can only speak from my personal experience and knowledge to keep the facts correct when it comes to the strength and ability of this combat unit. The unit served with distinction and honor.
