Histories for 2nd Infantry Division

Echo Company 5/20, Warrior Base-DMZ
Dear Dr Ramon and Dennis England, 07/20/2009 1930 hours First off I?d like to say that I really appreciate the help you?ve given me and the interest you?ve expressed toward my family. This letter is to address our last session Dr. Ramon. I told you my story what happened to me on or around the 7th of September 1988. My Company, E Co 5/20 2nd Infantry Division while on a M.A.C.E. Patrol inside the DMZ, my squad took hostile fire from a North Korean artillery battery. 8 to 12 rounds exploded ?Danger Close,? within 30 meters of our position. Fire Base Collier advised, ?We have live artillery fire 75 meters to our South West. Fire base Ollette sounded off for confirmation. I had the mike already in my hand. I keyed the handset and said. ?This is Echo five niner, I have 8 to 12 artillery burst, danger close, please advise!? They then instructed us to muster back to Warrior Base and we did as instructed. Once there we emptied the armory and stripped the base down to the concrete slabs. We then bugged out into the field where we stayed for approximately 35 to 40 days at a high state of readiness. Things were very intense, especially since no formal declaration of war was given. Only a ?shoot on sight order?, towards enemy aggressor! Now Dr Ramon I?m sure that you are a kind, gentle man. However, when I have to speak on that subject I become agitated and hostile. Due to the fact of your National Origin I view you as the enemy and a gook when I have to relate that honest account of what I went through 21 years ago. And if I had an M-16, I?d shoot you. I didn?t speak of it for 20 years Dr. Ramon and do not like to discuss it. WHEN YOU DISMISSED WHAT I WENT THROUGH AND SAID, ?YEAH, BUT IT SURE WAS A LONG TIME AGO!!! Well Doc that PISSED ME OFF SOMETHING FIERCE! I want you to re-evaluate me for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I also want to know it you are qualified to remain my psychiatrist. You have to respect my feelings not discount them like I?m fucking lying to you. That?s B.S. and not fair to me or other Honorably Discharged Disabled Vet?s such as myself. In conclusion, I?d also like to state that you and Dennis England have my utmost respect and consideration. Please know that I?m writing this letter because I was instructed to by the Vet Center, 1408 So. Harvard, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74112. Steve and Aaron Duckworth advised me that I was where I needed to be. Also, that I needed to have my psychiatrist re-evaluate me so I can go to the Residential Treatment Program in Little Rock, Arkansas, Waco, Texas, or Topeka, Kansas facility, which ever has an opening. Due to my violent nature and tendency for aggressive and violent mood swings, I further request an evaluation of my meds, primarily the Lithium you have prescribed me. I did a fasting drug screen this morning as you so ordered. Thank you for your time and thoughtful consideration in this highly time sensitive matter. I believe I need an in- house setting so I can work through my issues for the sake of my family and the well being of an innocent stranger. I?m having great difficulty controlling my temper and need to be in an in-house setting for a short time to get my shit wired tight. Once again thank you for your understanding. Please do not dismiss my plea. I?m worried for the welfare of myself and that of my family. God Bless you and thanks for taking the time and for your understanding. Sincerely and Respectfully submitted, (918) 734-0039 Dennis Gene Gill-#6866 (918) 378-0040
