I'm looking for TOMMY JONES or THOMAS JONES, United States Army, stationed in or around DARMSTADT in July, 1964. Obviously, he could have been stationed there for some time *before* or *after* that date, but I can definitely pinpoint him to that time. To refresh your memory, this would have been just a few months after President Kennedy was killed, and right before the Gulf of Tonkin incident in Vietnam (Aug 64). I have some additional information, which is speculative, so if you knew a TOMMY JONES, but this information doesn?t match exactly, please let me know anyway! - He may have been a Sergeant - He might have been approximately 22 years old - He might have been from ?out west?, Washington, Oregon, California? - He may have grown up on a farm - He may have served in Vietnam, either before 1964 or after - Caucasian - May have been around 5?10?, light complexion, darkish hair If you are in contact with any other people in your unit, could you forward this to them? Or if you have a unit association, same thing, can you forward this to your association members to see if anyone remembers him? Also, do you have access to any unit rosters from this time period? There were such a small number of units stationed at Darmstadt during this time period, it might be just as much help to *eliminate* units as it would to actually find him on a roster! I realize this is a complete and total shot in the dark, but if you remember someone by that name, even if you're not completely sure it?s the same person, PLEASE, PLEASE let me know!
