Old Minot AP
I arrived at Minot in May of 1963 and was assigned to the 862nd Combat Defense Squadron. I worked aircraft security from May to September of that year, and was one of the first AP's to go into Minuteman missile security as Boeing turned the system over to the Air Force. I worked LF guard, mobile strike team, convoy escort, and topside security. When my enlistment expired in 1967, I was an FSC at November Flight near Mohall, where I fell in love with a girl and almost married her. I still have dreams about that time and place, even though it was over 40 years ago.
