My Uncle Harold passed away in 1965 and I am trying to trace his path in WW II. I understand he was in the 551st but I can't find any entry in a roster for him. I am told that a Co. Doug Dillard said he was in the 551st till disbandment at wich time he was sent to the 504th. At Hitdorf he received the Silver Star and was captured.
