64th Anniversary of DRAGOON
Greeting GOYAs, friends, family & supporters!
Once again I am honored to be counted among your ranks as we remember the 64th Anniversary of the GOYAs combat parachute assault into Southern France with the First Airborne Task Force in support of the DRAGOON landings. I thank the GOYAs, and all our nation?s Veterans (especially our Paratrooopers!) for the sacrifices they?ve made in defense of the greatest country in the world.
As I held the release formation for my Company yesterday, I spoke of the legacy of the 551st to the Army & of the anniversary of the landings in Southern France. As long as I wear the uniform, I will ensure that the legacy of the 551st continues?.
Enjoy National Airborne Day today as well ? the local chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association here in El Paso is having a picnic on Fort Bliss for the Soldiers of Fort Bliss?.but the ?legs? have to do ten pushups before they can get in!!!
Take care & see you on the DZ!
AIRBORNE GOYA ALL THE WAY!
