My dad Michael Olenick was a member of the 551st from it's inception. He and I attended the Dayton, Ohio reuniion and that is the last one we attended. Sorry there are no more to commemorate these great men. Joe Blaisik was my dad's good buddy during the war and sadly Joe has passed already 3 years ago. Dad's nickname was DUDE and he will celebrate # 88 here in the Fort Bragg area on 12 November. I will be there to celebrate with him. He is going strong and u wouldn't know he is 88. Very spry and still mentally and physically active. A gentlemen and a card all rolled up in one. I would like to view some of the photos u have online. I will call and chat sometime. OLE!!
