I was the winfly HM who came down in August when you guys were getting ready to leave the Ice. I helped relieve Dave Vega & Company. What struck me the most was all the pale, hollow eyed winter overs that crowded into one corner of the mess hall in bldg 155. I recall how distrustfull of everybody they were. It took me a while to get used to the reason why. I later wound up being stationed with HMC Vega in HI after I left NSFA.
