I lived next to the SJ NAVSTA as a young man and spent many days there.

Sorry about this very late response. I don't often visit this website. I made the CD's from the albums. I retired in VB in 1978, then moved to PA (job connected) in 1994. We retired and moved to Northwestern AZ in December of 2006. NO SNOW!!!

I was very sorry to hear of your father's passing. I wish I could have known him. The Steel Band was a unique and special group. I have a lot of fond memories of my tour. I'm sure you dad had many great stories to tell about the early days. We'll you and your family in our prayers.
