Plankowner
Was on the pre-comissioning detail. Between an Aerological officer, a third class Aerographer'Mate, third class Photographer's Mate and myself, we put the whole Air Dept. aboard the Badoeng Strait, including the arresting gear. Went aboard in Tacoma, WA and was towed to Portland, OR where we finished the job. Can't remember the dates but it rained almost constantly. It was early in 1946. There were a whole bunch of guys that mustered in the mornings, but somehow they all disappeared right after mustser.
