Ron and I served together on the DW. I was pre-commissioning Blue crew but I don't remember when Ron came on board. Ron and I spent a lot of time together on the beach shooting archery. I was on board for 5 years and got off just before entering the yards for overhaul. We were in M division along with Chief Wilson, Chief Keele, Chief Art Dreyling, P O Rapper, PO Mostec, to mention a few. The first Chief Engineer was LCDR Bud Foster, the second Chief Engineer was LCDR Frank Kelso. He did well, he went on to become the CNO in 1990. I would like to hear from any shipmates.
