I have a photo of my father, Howard E. Willis, along with several other sailors, that 'won' the Vallejo Cup in 1924. My father was one of the two sailors holding the trophy. Can you tell me anything about the Vallejo Cup? I think it was a rowing contest?? Also, do you know what daily life would have been like in 1924? I know he was a diver as I have his medical records and photos of him being 'dressed' to dive. He died when I was really young and I only found out about his navy career a few years ago just before my mother died. ANY information is greatly appreciated.
