112th Engineers in Europe
The 112th was part of the 37th Division, The Ohio Division. Most of the division was sent to the Pacific however the 112th ended up in England and landed on D Day by mid day and cleared the beaches for the 29th Division during their assault.

My father, R D "Red" Fortner, served with this unit, I think, from NOV 43 to DEC 45. He has only one picture, but plenty of stories. I would like to retrace his movements through EUROPE. ANY help would be appreciated.
