My brother, James Schuler, served with the First Engineer Battalion between Nov 66 and Nov 67. He was a redhead from Seattle, who loved the military. Jim went on to serve a total of three tours in Vietnam, with three different engineer battalions, but his first tour with Company C was his most memorable. Jim died in 2001 and his family is trying to piece together his service. I am also writing a book about Jim and the combat engineers--what they experienced in Vietnam and the aftermath.
