My Grandfather, PFE Archie Emery died in Heilbrunn just a couple of weeks before the end of the war in 1945. He died on his 2 year old daugther's 2d birthday alone on a side street somewhere in heilbronn. They did not discover his body for two days after his unit finally crossed the Neckar River.
