My grandfather, Edward T. Heidegger, served with "Charlie" company 397th Inf. 100th Inf. Div. He was a rifleman until he was wounded and ended up with a petroleum outfit. If anyone knew him or remembers him feel free to contact me. He passed away in 1984 and as a vet myself, I would like to know some of his experiences from WW II since he seldom spoke about them.
