I was the 4th or the 5th person to report into the bn when it was formed at Fort Campbell. I was a SP5 and was the Bn CSM for about two days until some one of higher rank arrived to relieve me. I was the A company Co for a while until that position got filled. We went to the field in those cattle trucks at Ft Campbell. Then went to Wilkins Barracks
