My name is Mary Wakefield and I am looking for anyone who knew him while he was in the Army for 11 months from 1970-1971 when he was killed in Germany. He was run over by a taxi cab after a buddy of his was seriously hurt when they ran off the road. He was in C troop, 3d Sqdn, 12th Cavalry as a turret mechanic. We had a son, Jr. and now a grandson whom is very courious about his grandfather and so I begin my search. He was in bootcamp in Ft. Lewis, Washington in 1970, and Ft. Knox, Kentucky till the end of Nov. 1970. He was then sent to Budingen, Germany.
