Someone's gotta be first! =)
Well, I created the page, guess I'll write the first message too!
I was a Scout in B Troop, and rotated back to the states just prior to the unit being deployed to Bosnia (?) I think. I remember (and almost miss) going to Graf for gunnery. Nothing like firing that 25mm or a TOW or two! Now, I know the tankers among us may argue about it, but bustin' caps in a Bradley seems more like shooting a gun yourself instead of letting the Abrams computer do it all for you.
(Hehe... if this don't get some reply's, no ones reading!)
But really... if my family and I would've stayed in Germany for another tour, theres a chance I would've re-up'd again, and hell, after that I would've gone over 10 years, and it would've seemed silly to get out at that point. But leaving Buedingen and going to Ft. Hood was like the kiss of death, and we couldn't wait to get out after that!
Had a son born in the Frankfurt military hospital. We had many close friends during our 3 years there. All in all it was the best time my wife and I had in the 9 years I was in the Army. Now, I don't even know if there is a post in Buedingen anymore. When I got out, Clinton seemed to be closing bases left and right. If anyone knows, send me a line.
